Perronet House Fire Upgrading Works

Works were carried out to a six storey residential block over 12 weeks.

Fire stopping measures both active and passive were carried out across the building.
New lateral mains were installed to 90 dwellings.
Electrical upgrades were carried out in 90 properties including mains connected smoke detection and earth bonding.
New front entrance doors and fire escape doors were fitted to each dwelling.
New fire doors and screens were fitted to a protected staircase.
New emergency lighting was fitted to all communal areas including stairs, corridors and entrance lobbies.
Asbestos ceilings were removed and reinstated with a Gyproc suspended ceiling system with fire breaks and integral access hatches for mechanical and electrical services.
The entrance lobby had a new ceiling installed with integral flush mounted lighting.
All communal doors were upgraded or replaced to current fire regulations.
All communal refuse hoppers were upgraded to current fire regulations.
District Heating pipes were insulated with a fire resistant insulation.
