The project involved an existing podium garage roof that provides the entrances to three 20-storey tower blocks.
The existing podium roof waterproofing and paved covering had reached the end of its life. It has been renewed and replaced with a 'green roof' to the garages below that provides not only a new children's playground but also a pleasant entrance area to the blocks with grassed areas and landscaping.
A 3-layered SWS waterproofing system was installed. This area was overlaid with large grassed sections with flower beds, using oak sleepers to set out each path area laid with Moordale Ground flags.
